About this walk
Richards Tramline starts from where Richards Curves Walk ends, making it a great option for those wanting a longer walk. This walk will take you through stunning Mountain Ash and mixed species forest filled with railway artefacts. Other points of interest along the walk include the Mississippi Cascades.
Starting from Big Pats Recreation Area, you'll walk 2.1 km along Richards Curve Walk before reaching the starting point for Richards Tramline. Continue along here for 12 km through the forest to finish at Brahams Road.
It is a 28.2 km return walk from Big Pats Recreation Area. There are options to shorten the walk with a car shuttle or starting the walk from these locations:
- Mississippi Creek Road and following Richard's Tramline to return to Big Pats (8.7 km one-way walk)
- Brahams Road and following Richards Tramline and Richards Curves Walk to Big Pats (14.1 km one-way walk)
