About this walk
The Morning Star Walk takes you past historic gold mining sites and relics including the impressive Morning Star Waterwheel, the only remaining example of its kind in Victoria.
The waterwheel formed part of a battery site where ore was crushed or ‘battered’ to help release the gold hidden inside.
Continue along the track to the Crinoline Mine site where you’ll find other mining relics including a Cornish boiler dating back to 1866.
