About this picnic area
Nestled beside Little Cabbage Tree Creek, this is a quaint and peaceful picnic area surrounded by lush ferns and forest.
There are tables, firepits and toilets available so you can relax with a picnic lunch before taking a short stroll to the viewing platform at the Little Cabbage Tree Creek Falls.
This site forms part of the Murrungowar Forest Drive, a scenic drive suitable for all vehicles just east of Orbost. The Murrungowar Forest Drive meanders through the great forests of East Gippsland showcasing a range of forest types and scenery.
From here, it's just a 25-minute drive to reach the township of Cabbage Tree Creek, once a bustling hub for the timber industry. A 40-minute drive will take you to Cape Conran and the coast.
