About this trail
The Wilks Creek trail is in Marysville, a 2.5 hour drive north-east of Melbourne.
This 6km loop trail is ideal for mountain biking, walking or horse riding. It loops through the Wilks Creek catchment and passes through a variety of forest types.
The trail connects to the historic Anderson No. 1 Mill, once one of the most productive sawmills in the region, and Andersons Mill Campground. In its heyday, this was the site of a small community, shops and even a school. It's an ideal place to take a breather and enjoy a break before completing the loop back to Marysville. Toilets, barbeque facilities and a horse yard are available for visitor use.
A section of this track runs along the Bicentennial National Trail, a 5330km horse trail along the Great Dividing Range that links Healesville to Cooktown in Queensland.
