About this campground
SEC Campground is a popular and secluded camping area within the Murrindindi Scenic Reserve. With no vehicle access to the site, this is an ideal spot for families with young children.
The site is accessible by a short walk from the car park across a bridge over the Murrindindi River. Visitors will need to park at the picnic area and carry their tent and gear to the campground where they’ll find open, grassy campsites along the beautiful Murrindindi River.
Explore the reserve
The campground is an excellent base for enjoying the many activities the reserve has to offer, including the popular Murrindindi River Walk, which can be accessed from the site. Other activities in the reserve include birdwatching, picnicking and fishing and paddling in the river.
Camping fees
Fees are payable for camping in Murrindindi Scenic Reserve:
- $3 for a motorcycle per night
- $7 for a car per night
- $20 for a small bus per night
- $35 for a large bus per night
All funds raised go directly back into the maintenance of the reserve and its facilities.
Buy your camping permit
You can purchase your permit online or from the payment box located next to the notice board in the reserve.
All permits must be displayed on your windscreen, tent or caravan. No bookings are required, however camping is on a first-come, first-served basis.
