About this campground
A flat and shady site located on the banks of the Ovens River, this site is perfectly located to base yourself and explore the surrounding Milawa gourmet region, which is renowned for its boutique wineries and food producers.
A sandy bank down to the river makes this a popular swimming and fishing spot and great for launching a kayak to explore the river. Large deciduous trees ensure there is plenty of shade in the summer months, and toilets and picnic tables are provided. The site adjoins a bitumen road and is therefore easily accessible and suitable for all forms of camping.
This site does become very busy during the summer months and on long weekends, so it is best to arrive early to secure your spot and have a back-up plan in case it is full.
