About this campground
Katie Peters Reserve is a great base for exploring the surrounding area and enjoying the many recreational activities on offer such as fishing, kayaking, four-wheel driving, bushwalking and visiting the iconic Dartmouth Dam.
Located only 13 km from the township of Mitta Mitta and 7 km from the township of Eskdale, the site is accessible by two-wheel drive vehicles.
This large campground is suitable for all types of camping and offers basic facilities including firepits, picnic tables and a toilet.
Katie Peters Reserve was a joint initiative project between the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action and Northeast Catchment Management Authority to rehabilitate an old sand quarry. The site is dedicated to the memory of Katie Peters who was tragically killed while fighting the 2013 Harrietville Bushfire.
