Grannys Flat is subject to seasonal closure during the winter periods. Closure dates are the Thursday after King’s Birthday (JUNE) – the Thursday before Melbourne Cup (OCTOBER) INCLUSIVE.

There is no rubbish collection at this site, please take your rubbish with you when you leave.

Water from the nearby river must be boiled before drinking.

This site is near water. Make sure you read the water safety tips before you go.

You will need to drive on an unsealed road for approximately 7.5km before reaching the reserve.

About this campground

Grannys flat is located in northeast Victoria near the township of Jamieson, located along the Jamieson River. It provides well-maintained grassy campsites surrounded by native forests and some beautiful deciduous trees offering shade when needed. The site is suitable for all camping types with various sized areas which are predominantly flat. The stretch of river adjoining the camping ground offers a great spot to cool off during the summer months. Facilities include toilets, picnic tables and fire pits. This site can become busy in the warmer months with avid outdoor adventurers.

This site can be used by caravans and camper trailers with large flat areas and ample room for backing and turning. You will need to drive on a length of unsealed road for approximately 7.5km before reaching the reserve. The entrance track does have a small steep section at the bottom which can become slippery when wet.
