The carparks are located close to the limited number of vehicle-based campsites and adjacent to the grassy open picnic area. You will need to bring your own water as there is none available on site.

About this site
Ditchfield is a beautiful place to travel to for lunch in the forest, with a large open grassy clearing offering plenty of space for larger groups to set up. Smaller peaceful sites are available in the surrounding forest if you're after something more secluded.
Accessibility information
This campground is fully accessible and provides a range of amenities suitable for visitors in a wheelchair or with limited mobility. This includes:
- accessible car parking
- accessible path network connecting the car park, toilets, hardstands for vehicle-based camping, picnic tables and Ditchfield Hut
- wheelchair access into Ditchfield Hut
- wheelchair-friendly picnic tables.
Campground
Ditchfield Campground is surrounded by plenty of things to see and do. You could jump onto the Beeripmo Walk, which passes close by, to do a return day walk out to Richards via Raglan Falls. A short drive will also get you to Victoria Mill Scenic Reserve and Ben Nevis for a nice day out.
The large space on offer at Ditchfield Camp makes it a popular spot. It's situated in a large clearing which offers plenty of space for larger groups to set up and more secluded options for smaller groups.
Ditchfield Hut
A beautiful place to stop for lunch in the forest, Ditchfield Hut provides picnic tables within the shelter of the wooden hut. The local birdlife will provide the perfect soundtrack to help you enjoy a tranquil lunch.
The site is accessible by 2WD vehicles and should be on every forest visitor’s list of things to see.
The site provides basic facilities, including toilets, picnic tables and wood-fired BBQ pits.
