Butchers is best suited to experienced, self-sufficient wilderness campers. It's a basic campground with no water and limited facilities.
Historically a gold mining area, this region has produced more gold nuggets than any other Australian goldfield.
With easy access off Kingower – Arnold Road, Butchers Campground can also be visited for a day trip to soak up the beauty and history of the area.
Featuring wood-fired BBQ pits and picnic tables, bring a packed lunch or food for cooking as you enjoy the quiet serenity.
