About this site
This quiet campground and picnic area is off the Portland-Casterton Road. There are several camping sites on level ground, with room for large groups, caravans and camper trailers.
Messmate, swamp gum, manna gum and western peppermint trees surround this campground. Up until the 1950s it was used as a camp for logging workers.
The Traditional Owners of this area are the Gunditjmara people.
Annya Loop walk
This is a flat 3km walk suitable for all fitness and experience levels. The loop walk departs from the camping area and makes its way around the Annya Swamp.
Keep an eye out for koalas, kangaroos, emus and other wildlife and enjoy the native bush or wait quietly to watch native water birds in the bird hide.
